March 6, 2010 -
Opening day for the Miracle League in Pensacola. Kids with all kinds of different disabilities come out and play softball. It was wonderful. Bella and Nicolas from UPside2Downs really had a great time with their mommy's as their buddies. They hit the ball, ran the bases, and smiled as their fans cheered loudly for them. Thank you for all that supported us.
March 3, 2010 -
Spread the word to end the word event. We were invited to Milton High School to hear Katie Smith, a sophomore speak. She has learned to be an advocte for her brother Daniel who has Autism.
February 19, 2010 -
UPside2Downs along with the youth from My Father's Vineyard went to the Wal-Mart on Mobile Hwy to fundraise and promote Down syndrome Awareness. The workers and their patrons were really supportive and we passed out a lot of flyers. Thank you once again Pensacola for your support.
January 22, 2010 -
This Friday was a busy day for UPside2Downs. We attended the Escambia County Dependency Summit and Service Resource Fair at Brownsville Assembly of God. We met different agencies in Escambia County, and was able to network with agencies we didn't even know about. Later that day we attended the Ice Flyer's game as they played against Mississippi where we were able to pass out over 100 flyers to spread the word about what UPside2Downs is doing along with the Ice Flyers to help spread awareness of Down Syndrome.

UPside2Downs had a sit down with Sonshine, from Magic 106.1. We discussed with her ways of helping us with our March 25th event with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. She informed us that she was on board for supporting this event . On the Magic 106.1 website they will acknowledge our event and also she will be informing the community on the air. Please tune into Magic 106.1 from 9am - 2pm and see how you can support Down Syndrome.

Today we went to The Cluster and was able to bring Christmas joy to the folks who live there and some of the workers. We had a wonderful time. Some of the kids danced and rocked to the singing. Arson Youth and some of the adults showed up to show love to them. Ms. Lisa Price read the Christmas story to them and they all had a blast. Thank you to everyone who showed up to put a smile on the face and a warmth in their heart during such a 'Wonderful Time of the Year' Thank you Cluster for having us .

This meeting was very exciting. We had 'Maverick' from the Pensacola Ice Flyers come out and take pictures with the kids. They smiled and even got autographs. At the same time as the pictures were being taken, Ms. Nicole Brown with FNDFL, was sharing with our parents how to deal with different behaviors that we share raising a child with Down Syndrome. At the end of the meeting we enjoyed food, meeting new people, and sharing our concerns and success stories with one another. Looking forward for what GOD has in store for us in 2010. Thanks to everyone for a great year, 'GOD bless you all'.

UPside2Downs coordinated with WSRE/PBS to spread Down Syndrome Awareness on their program 'Connecting the Community' in Pensacola, Fl. Mr. Lloyd Patterson and his team came together to enhance the awareness in the Pensacola and surrounding communities about raising a child with Down Syndrome. We were able to answer some questions that othes may of been a little hesitant to ask. The program will be aired on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00pm and also on Saturday December 20th at 10:30am.

Ms. Sheila Allen, with Mended Little Hearts, came and shared her heart and personal testimony about raising a child with a severe heart defect. She showed us some simple games that we can make at home to make learning easy and fun for our children. We thank her for her group because 1/3 of the children born with Down Syndrome have some sort of heart condition.
October 16, 2009 - UPside2Downs 1 year anniversary. We celebrated with over 15 people at our 1st birthday celebration for our ministry UPside2Downs. We had 2 special speakers address concerns of nutrition for the upcoming holidays.
October 10, 2009 - 1st Annual Bike Run for Down Syndrome. We had 86 bikers ride for Down Syndrome awareness and 200+ people show up for support. It was an awesome day. Our church, My Father's Vineyard, hosted the event. Christ Descendants did an awesome job of preparing everything along with the rest of the Mission M:25 team. The community was a huge blessing with all the donations. Special thanks to everyone!

Upside2Downs en conjunto con la juventud de la Iglesia My Father's Vineyard fue a
Wal-Mart de la Mobile Hwy para levantar fondos y crear conciencia sobre el Sindrome de Down. Todos los trabajadores y supervisores fueron bien amables y condecendientes con nosotros. Pudimos pasar mucha informacion atravez de boletines. Gracias una vez mas Pensacola por su apoyo.

Este Viernes fue uno bien agitado para Upside2downs. Participamos en el Escambia Dependency Summit Fair en la Iglesia Asamblea de Dios en Brownsville . Tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer y compartir con diferentes agencias en el Condado de Escambia. Durante la noche asistimos a uno de los juegos de los Pensacola Ice Flyers, era el juego de Pensacola en contra de Mississippi y tuvimos la oportunidad de repartir sobre 100 propagandas sobre lo que Upside2downs esta haciendo para concientizar sobre el Sindrome de Down.

Upside2Downs estuvo en conversacion con Sonshine, de Magic 106.1. Dialogamos sobre diferentes maneras en las que la emisora nos puede ayudar para promocionar nuestro evento de Marzo 25, 2010 con los Pensacola Ice Flyers. Ella nos brindo total apoyo y esta patrocinando nuestro evento. Atravez del website de Magic 106.1 se le estara dando publicidad al evento y ella a su vez lo estara anuciando al aire. Porfavor sintonice Magic 106.1 desde 9am - 2pm y vea como usted puede apoyar el Syndrome de Down.

Hoy visitamos The Cluster y pudimos llevar la alegria de la Navidad a las personas que viven y trabajan alli. Tuvimos una experiencia grandiosa. Algunos de los niños bailaron y cantaron al ritmo de los villancicos navideños. Arson Youth (sociedad de juventud ) participo y mostro el gran amor que ellos tienen para ellos. La Sra. Lisa Price leyo la historia del Naciemiento del Niño Jesus y todos los disfrutaron. Gracias a todos los que contribuyeron en hacer esta una realidad y llevar amor y brindar esperanza a cada uno de ellos , ellos pusieron sonrisas a todos alli presente en la 'Temporada mas Maravillosa de Año' . Gracias a la administracion del Cluster por darnos la oportunidad de estar alli.

Esta reunion fue bien excitante. Contamos con la participacion de 'Maverick' la mascota de los Pensacola Ice Flyers tomado fotos con los niños. Ellos sonrieron de alegria y se llevaron autografos. Tambien se les tomaron fotos a cada uno de ellos. La Sra. Nicole Brown de FNDFL, compartio como nosotros como padres podemos lidiar con diferentes tipos de comportamiento de nuestros niños con Sindrome de Down. Al final de la reunion disfrutamos de entremeses y refrigerios ademas pudimos compartir entre los padres presentes historia de exito de nuestros niños. Estamos con muchas esperanzas esperando el nuevo año 2010 y lo que Dios tendra para nosotros. Gracias a cada uno de ustedes por tanto apoyo y por un año espectacular, Dios los bendiga a todos .

Upside2Downs en coordinacion con WSRE/PBS mostro concientizacion sobre el Sindrome de Down atravez del programa 'Conectando con la Comunidad' en Pensacola, Fl. El Sr. Lloyd Patterson y su equipo de trabajo hizo todo lo posible para que fuera una realidad compartir conciencia sobre lo que significa criar un niño(a) con el Sindrome de Down. Tuvimos la oportunidad de contestar preguntas que muchos se restringen de preguntar. El programa se transmitira al aire el 17 de Diciembre a las 7:00pm y tambienel Sabado 20 de Diciembre a las 10:30am.

La Sra. Sheila Allen, con Mended Little Hearts, vino y compartio su testimonio sobre lo que es criar a una niña con defecto severo en su corazon. Ademas ella nos ilustro una serie de juegos simples y educativos los cuales podemos utilizar con nuestros niños. Agradecemos a su grupo por compartir tan importante informacion con nosotros ya que 1/3 de niños con Sindrome de Down nacen con defectos en el corazon.

Upside2Downs 1 primer aniversario.
Celebramos el primer aniversario de nuestro ministerio con mas de 15 personas. Contamos con dos oradores invitados que ayudaron a canalizar inquietudes sobre una nutricion adecuada en los dias festivos.
Octubre 10, 2009 -
La Primera Motocicletada Anual por el Sindrome de Down. Contamos con 86 motociclistas creando conciencia sobre el Sindrome de Down en nuestra comunidad y mas de 200 personas dijeron presente. Fue un dia maravilloso. Nuestra iglesia My Father's Vineyard fue el anfitrion del evento. El grupo de motociclistas Christ Descendants hizo un grandioso tarbajo organizando el evento conjunto con el Ministerio M:25. La comunidad fue de gran bendicion ayudando con sus donaciones. Muchisimas gracias a todos!
